Friday Favorite!

Ever since I found out about pinterest, I have been slightly obsessed with it. When I find something new and tell my friends and family about it, they always say "did you find that on pinterest? hehehe". I have found some of the coolest tihngs on there, though! So, today my first favorite is Pinterest! I will share a few new things I found this week, which I think are great ideas!

Use an old ketchup bottle for pancakes.

This seems like such common sense after I saw it, but somehow, when I make pancakes, I never think to recycle an old squeeze bottle and instead I just make a mess! I love that this is reusing and recycling something that would normally just be thrown out to the recycle bin.

Use a magnetic strip to store bobby pins, tweezers and clippers behind a door.

This is a fantastic idea! I have bobby pins laying all over the place because I have no place to keep them. This is just ingenious, i think.

Freeze fresh herbs in ice cube trays!

I am growing a bunch of herbs in my garden for pest control and companion planting, I am going to need and pick off some herbs very soon. This is a very organized way to handle herbs. I imagine having 7 or 8 large freezer bags full of fresh frozen herbs! Quick and easy enough to pop right into a soup, or a dinner and get the fresh, strong flavor a fresh herbs. Mmm. The instructions are simple, harvest your herb, wash them ( to wash off any friends that came along with you from the garden), cut off long stems, finely chop the herbs, put in an ice cube tray, fill with water and freeze!
